Revised – ACTION ALERT: LOGOS needed to oppose Federal Antitrust Legislation

As you know, BizFed acted in August of this year to formally oppose the Federal Antitrust Legislative Bills currently in Congress. We know that both houses are continuing to debate the package of bills. If enacted, this legislation will:

• Make it harder for customers to find businesses because listings, including address and business hours, may no longer appear in Google search results and on Google Maps.
• Shrink the reach and effectiveness of digital marketing, an essential tool for all businesses and a lifeline for small businesses already reeling from the pandemic.
• Hurt small business productivity by splitting up tools like Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar, and prevent them from working together seamlessly.
• Kill jobs that support economic output.

Recently, BizFed joined a coalition to support our efforts and to make sure federal lawmakers hear us LOUD AND CLEAR on these harmful pieces of legislation.
