As a friendly reminder, the deadline to submit action items for next month’s BizFed Advocacy Committee meeting is Thursday, September 30th by 5 p.m. This is a great opportunity to have the issues you care about brought to BizFed to have our massive grassroots alliance help strengthen your advocacy efforts. Below is a breakdown of what is required to submit an action item to BizFed for consideration.
HOW TO BRING AN ACTION ITEM TO BizFed!
- By Thursday, September 30th, please complete and send this Action Item Briefing Template to De’Andre Valencia by emailing him at Deandre.Valencia@BizFed.org. If you need help preparing this documentation, please contact De’Andre, and he can connect you with one of BizFed’s Policy Managers to assist.
- Please secure a “second” for your requested action item. In order to place an item on the Advocacy Committee meeting agenda, you must have a “second” to your requested action item. Please note that a non-profit member can request any active BizFed member to be its second. However, an investing member must request a non-profit member to be its second. - Attend, or have someone attend on your behalf, BizFed’s Advocacy Committee meeting on October 7th (see details below) to present your requested action item.
