The initial attempt to enact CEQA streamlining with SB 757 (Allen) was vetoed by the
Governor in the last legislative session as it required the passage of SB 995 (Atkins) as a
package. SB 44 (Allen) is a second attempt at enacting CEQA streamlining to limit the time for judicial review of transportation projects meeting certain criteria that was originally sought in the 2019-2020 Legislative Session with SB 757 (Allen).
