As you may know, the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) unveiled a draft of the Climate Action Plan for Transportation Infrastructure (CAPTI) last month. The plan details how the state recommends investing billions of discretionary transportation dollars annually to aggressively combat and adapt to climate change while supporting public health, safety and equity.
The plan is available for public comment through May 4, 2021 with an expectation of adoption by July 15, 2021.
We are proud to learn that BizFed is one of the few business organizations (if not the only one) that has been granted its own workshop presentation on CAPTI by CalSTA. The workshop will held on Tuesday April 27 during our regularly scheduled BizFed Transportation Committee meeting and presented by CalSTA Deputy Secretary for Environmental Policy & Housing Coordination Darwin Moosavi.
Additionally, there will be several other CAPTI workshops and presentations leading up to BizFed’s CAPTI Workshop. See below:
- Joint Meeting of the CA Transportation Commission, CA Air Resources Board and California Housing & Community Development: CAPTI Update – 4/8/2021 @ 9am (CAPTI is Item #3). More information and to register: Click Here.
Climate Action Team Public Health Workgroup: California Transportation Infrastructure Investments: Aligning with State Climate, Health, and Equity Goals: CAPTI Update – 4/22/2021 @ 3pm. More information to register: Click Here.
- …there may be additional workshops. Will inform members once confirmed.
