INFO ALERT – Stephanie Wiggins appointed as the First Woman CEO of Metrolink!

The Metrolink Board of Directors hired Metro Deputy CEO Stephanie Wiggins as Metrolink’s next CEO. Metrolink runs regional commuter rail across five counties — Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura with service also to Oceanside in San Diego County.

Here’s a statement by BizFed’s 2018 Board Chair, Hilary Norton:

“Stephanie Wiggins has been a true champion of innovative mobility and financing options. I have enjoyed partnering with her since 2009. We are delighted that Stephanie’s talents are going to be put to work expand and innovate Metrolink. I am proud of the Metrolink Board for appointing the first black woman CEO.”

Stephanie will oversee Metrolink’s aggressive system improvement strategy that BizFed supports called “Southern California Optimized Rail Expansion” or SCORE. This strategy will add tracks, improve signals and build grade separations to get the system ready for the 2028 Olympic Games. These improvements will help both passengers and goods important for our local economy.
