Today, Governor Newsom announced his vision on how California’s businesses, schools, and childcare facilities may be allowed to slowly reopen amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
The state plans to reopen the aforementioned sectors in four stages, as described by the Department of Public Health Director Dr. Sonia Angel.
Furthermore, the Governor is committed to making sure employees and businesses across the state have up-to-date information and resources regarding California’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure public safety and business resiliency.
For that reason, the Governors teamed convened a conference call to discuss the steps in California’s roadmap to reopening. Participants included:
- Rhys Williams, Governor Newsom’s Senior Advisor on Emergency Preparedness and Management
- Che Salinas, Governor Newsom’s Senior Advisor on Business and Economic Development
- Chris Dombrowski, Acting Director of the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz)
