Tell Your Members to Save Small Business and Send Letters to Congress!

BizFed is a member of the Save Small Business Coalition, a nationwide group led by the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce (a new BizFed member).

A bipartisan group of senators are expected to present their final $908 billion proposal as early as tomorrow, December 9. Congress is also expected to vote to stop a Friday government shutdown and continuing negotiating through Dec. 18 on next year’s budget.

The latest proposal is seen as a last-ditch effort to bring sorely needed economic aid like extra unemployment benefits and money for small businesses before protections lapse on Dec. 31, otherwise leaving tens of millions of Americans without any federal support for weeks.

The SSBC is running an online campaign to send letters to Congress demanding that they act now in order to ensure that businesses have the tools necessary to survive this pandemic and economic shortfall.

Congress needs to act now and they need to act boldly to ensure that America’s businesses can retain and rehire staff, pay rent, adapt to new regulations and requirements, and pay their state and local taxes.

Congress needs to hear from you and your members! It only takes a minute and makes all the difference.

If you have any questions about this campaign, please contact Sarah Wiltfong at sarah.wiltfong@bizfed.org.

Take action now!
