Community Development Director, FivePoint
Since 2014, Sandy Sanchez has served as Community Development Director for FivePoint, where she plays a key role in the company’s efforts to develop the Newhall Ranch masterplan. In addition to entitlement responsibilities, she leads community relations initiatives to cultivate and enhance relationships with local and regional community organizations, elected officials, and leaders to elevate FivePoint’s reputation and advance strategic interests, promoting a positive corporate image that extends the brand narratives while increasing positive engagement. Sandy also directs strategy on political outreach and advocacy.
Prior to joining FivePoint, she served for nearly four years as Director of Government Affairs for the Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California where she successfully advocated for pro-development policies and legislation with elected officials throughout the region and served on numerous local government committees and task forces. Sandy has also worked for a number of developers and homebuilders, including Brookfield Homes, DR Horton, and Watson Land Company.
