Director Of Government Affairs at South Bay Association of REALTORS®

Julie Tran serves as the Government Affairs Director for the South Bay Association of Realtors®, whose over 5,000 Realtor members live and work across the 15 cities of South Bay Los Angeles County. She manages and implements the local government affairs and political activities in support of the real estate industry and the members of the Association, advancing homeownership, housing opportunities, and land use policy in the region.

Her background as a bilingual immigrant to Orange County and an alumna of UC Davis, lent Julie a unique perspective into the diverse communities that make up California. From her early days as a grassroots organizer to elect candidates and support issues at all levels of government to her service as district staff to State Senate and Congressional officials across Orange and Los Angeles counties, Julie remains an issues-oriented advocate for sensible policies, working with changemakers across the political ideology spectrum to achieve common goals.

Julie has worked on public policy and member engagement for organized real estate for the past 5 years, and is focused on increasing dialogue between regulators, lawmakers, and stakeholders for the vitality of the region’s housing market.
