Betsy Brien is Western Region External Relations Director for PBF Energy. She has more than 20 years of experience in the petroleum industry and currently supports PBF’s refining and logistics assets in the western region of the United States.

Brien is responsible for overseeing community, government, media, and industrial relations.  Her specialized background in toxicology enhances her ability to provide a unique perspective on refining to community members and government officials.

A resident of Long Beach, California, Brien holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA.  She earned a Master's degree in Environmental Health with an emphasis in Toxicology from Colorado State University.
