A chamber of commerce is an association of businessmen and businesswomen designed to promote and protect the interests of its members.
Chambers of Commerce are essential to the economic growth of our communities; through making introductions, facilitating projects, advocating for business friendly policies, maintaining data on the areas served and their economic climates and keeping abreast of pending development projects.
The Wilmington Chamber of Commerce goes beyond that description, and is known for it’s leadership role in partnering with community organizations which serve the citizens of Wilmington. The board of directors are volunteers who give an extraordinary amount of their time to give back to the community.
Dan Hoffman is the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. “Without him, the Chamber would not have thrived and flourished through the years, as it has,” said Past Board President, Patrick Wilson.
