Meeting Summary:

Yesterday (7/1), the SCAG Regional Council met to receive a status update on the SoCal Greenprint as it was listed on the agenda as an informational item (presentation here). However, after much advocacy, arguments and live testimony provided by the business community, SCAG Regional Council Member Trevor O'Neil made a motion to pause the SoCal Greenprint implementation process for at least 30 days and set a special public hearing after the 30 days expires. The motion was seconded. To clarify, within the 30 days, SCAG staff would be instructed to have dialog with concerned stakeholders on the plan and ahead of the special meeting. The motion was seconded.

The motion passed 25 - 24! Every vote counts.

BizFed will huddle with our coalition partners and strategize next steps to make sure our voices and concerns continue to be heard on SoCal Greenprint. We will make sure to keep all BizFed members informed moving forward.

It is a pleasure to advocate on your behalf,
