BizFed Board opposes CA Drug Price Relief Act

The BizFed Board voted tooppose a proposal which would restrict the amount that any state agency could pay for drugs, tying it to the price paid by the U.S. Dep. of Veterans Affairs. Impacts will be far reaching, including a reduction in the number of drug choices available to Californians, all while costing tax payers more money. This initiative is an attempt to reduce the price of prescription drugs purchased directly or indirectly by the state, by requiring CA officials to negotiate prices that are equal to or lower than those paid by the U.S. Dep. of Veterans Affairs.
