BizFed is still in STRONG OPPOSITION to SB 1387 Despite Amendments
SB 1387 was recently amended; however, the amendments do not address the issue of local control. Specifically, the bill still seeks to add three more state-appointed representatives to the South Coast Air Quality Management District Board.
If passed, SB 1387 will set a chilling precedent for pre-emption of local control on other boards and commissions throughout California.
