Dear BizFed Members,
Each month, BizFed advocates on a wide range of issues that come directly from our members. In an effort to maximize our reach and advocacy on your behalf, you will now receive a monthly reminder intended to guide you through the BizFed advocacy process. This notice includes a breakdown of what we need from you, in order to effectively review key issues and take the most impactful stance to ensure the strongest business advocacy in LA County. You can count on receiving this notice every month, approximately 10 days before our Advocacy Committee meeting.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
By COB Monday (January 9, 2017) of Advocacy Week please complete this Action Item Briefing Template. Advocacy Committee meetings are always the 1st Thursday of the month. Due to the holidays falling on the weekend, this month will be pushed to the second Thursday. Any items received after this hard deadline – unless it is critically urgent and fast-breaking – will be moved to the following month’s Advocacy Committee Agenda.
Please include any documentation to support your stance (Op-eds, Letters to the Editor, Articles, Reports, Fact sheets, Talking points, etc) as well as any information from the opposing stance.
Please secure a 2nd for your motion to the Advocacy Committee. Non-profit members can request any active BizFed member to be their 2nd. Investing members must request a non-profit member to 2nd their motion.
