Thank you to BizFed member DeAndre Valencia at the BIA for leading this effort Last year, BizFed voted to oppose attempts by the City of LA to include a linkage fee to the cost of new development.   Currently the City of LA is considering a linkage fee of $12 per square foot on new homes and $5 per square foot on commercial development.  This fee will increase the already sky-high cost of doing business, drive up rents, and worsen our housing shortage.  These are three of the top 5 concerns about what is stifling our economy according to business owners and leaders like yourself who recently took our annual BizFed poll. 1. Please review the attached Coalition letter and reply with your support and your organization’s logo for inclusion in the letter.  Please send your organization logos and expressed support by Tuesday, June 6th at 9am to De’Andre Valencia dvalencia@bialav.org  2.
