VICTORY ALERT: Governor Brown signs AB 2548 into law which will benefit LA County employers and commuters!  Yesterday afternoon Governor Brown signed AB 2548 (Friedman) into law which would allow Metro to adopt a Countywide Commuter Benefits ordinance to expand the number of employers participating in offering their employees commuter benefits programs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase transit ridership. A commuter benefits ordinance would allow Metro to partner with qualifying employers to offer benefits that encourage employees to rideshare, take transit, bike, and/or walk to work.  This legislation compliments the comprehensive multi-modal transportation plan in LA County while supporting businesses both large and small. Commuter incentive programs are a win-win linking private employers with public agencies at no additional cost to businesses and taxpayers while maximizing usage of the transportation infrastructure we are building to its full potential. Another example of business making LA work!
