As you may already know, BizFed has been actively involved in the implementation of AB 617 (Garcia, 2017), which establishes a statewide program to reduce exposure in communities most impacted by air pollution. In response to Assembly Bill (AB) 617, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) established the Community Air Protection Program (CAPP or Program), which seeks to find the states most vulnerable communities and work with stakeholders to reduce emissions in those areas. BizFed has actively been part of a statewide coalition that seeks to make sure that the implementation and adoption of the program not only best serves the communities impacted but does not hurt businesses in the process. Please review the final letter from our work with the statewide AB 617 Coalition HERE.
We are looking to collect more logos for the letter to submit to CARB. Please review by noon TOMORROW (Friday, September 21st) and let us know if you (A) wish to be part of the coalition or (B) would like your logo removed if you were included on the previous letter (here).
