ACTION ALERT - Contact the Pomona City Council and tell them to stop zoning over-regulation at Fairplex
Next Monday, November 19th the Pomona City Council will have a public hearing where they will take a vote on the proposed F-Zone amendment. If approved this zoning change will require the Fairplex to submit conditional use permits for every event adding time and will cost the city jobs.
We must write letters and show up to testify before the Mayor Tim Sandoval and the Pomona City Council that imposing the F-Zone amendment will reduce jobs and the needed tax revenue the city needs to keep their services operating. In September, the Planning Commission voted against the F-Zone amendment.
We need a strong showing of BizFed members at this meeting to articulate to the Pomona City Council that this zoning change will lead to key events leaving the Fairplex. Instead that the Pomona City Council must work with the Fairplex to come up with a sensible solution that protects our economy while being a good neighbor.
