ACTION ALERT - Support letters needed this week! Tell Governor Newsom why it's smart to appoint BizFed 2018 Chair HILARY NORTON to the California Transportation Commission!
Governor Newsom has one seat to fill for the California Transportation Commission (CTC) for the Southern California region. BizFed is placing its support for Hilary Norton to fill this key appointment. We need BizFed members to write and submit their letters now. Attached are a collection of support letters (CLICK HERE) to borrow from to help prepare your own letter and Hilary's resume to provide additional background (CLICK HERE).
This is a critical position, as the CTC will administer Gas Tax funding through the SB 1 program to complete vital transportation infrastructure projects that will benefit our economy through safer streets, smoother roads and more efficient goods movement corridors. We worked very hard last year to protect these funds from being repealed and its essential to have a strong business community voice on the CTC that will successfully administer and deliver what the voters were promised last November and look for stronger public-private partnerships to help it grow further.
