In case you missed it, the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) is considering banning oil refineries’ use of Modified Hydrofluoric Acid (MHF), likely causing two Southern California refineries to cease operations. If this were to happen, it could devastate California’s economy and could cause thousands of local jobs to be lost and increase gas prices by 25 cents per gallon or more, according to a recent study. Please attend and testify THIS SATURDAY at the SCAQMD Refinery Committee meeting urging the Committee to oppose any MHF ban or phase-out.
WHEN: Saturday, April 28th, 9 a.m. (please arrive by 7:30am to get a seat) WHERE: Torrance City Council Chambers 3031 Torrance Boulevard  Torrance, CA 90503 ATTIRE: Please wear NAVY BLUE
