LA County is considering another mask mandate by the end of July.
On Tuesday, the LA County Board of Supervisors is having their regularly scheduled board meeting and will be receiving an update from Dr. Barbara Ferrer on this potential mandate. While the mandate doesn’t require a vote from the Supervisors, the Supervisors can push back and overrule Ferrer’s recommendations.
We all support the safety of our residents and encourage individuals to take precautions as necessary, but imposing more mandates with little data to support a reduction in transmission rates is not the way forward.
If you have concerns with this mandate, we encourage you to:
1. Reach out to your local county Supervisors office and express your concerns. The more businesses they hear from, the better.
2. Call into the board meeting on Tuesday, 9:30am (lines open at 9am) and let your voice be heard.
We hope you find this information valuable. If you have any questions, please contact email@example.com.
