SB 1288 (Leyva) OPPOSE SB 1288 (Leyva) Gets rid of the Department of Health Care Services ability to properly assess potential violations of hospital nurse-to-patient ratios by imposing strict fines even if the health and safety of patients are not at risk and hospitals have a legitimate reason for being understaffed at a given time. Write or Call your Senator or Assemblymember and tell them we OPPOSE SB 1288 SB 2162 (Chiu) SUPPORT SB 2162 will respond to our homeless crisis by expediting the delivery of supportive housing by requiring developments that are 100% affordable and include a percentage of supportive housing units to be approved through a ministerial process, saving taxpayers money by reducing delays. SB 1402 (Lara) OPPOSE SB-1402 Holds third-party companies liable for potential trucking company abuses even though that third-party company has no control over the trucking company's practices.
