RAISE YOUR VOICE FOR THE SEPULVEDA TRANSIT CORRIDOR PROJECT #STC4ALL

Share This :

LA Metro has released its Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor (STC) project with a public comment period deadline of August 30, 2025. View the EIR here.

BizFed has set up a one-click ACTION CAMPAIGN below that formally comments on the EIR and expresses support for an accessible and equitable STC that connects the Westside region and the San Fernando Valley with a direct station on the UCLA campus and a seamless connection to the Purple/D Line at Westwood Village.

WHY IT MATTERS

More than 48,000 students (graduate and undergraduate) attend UCLA, many of which face long commutes to campus from the San Fernando Valley and beyond. An on-campus UCLA station would provide students with quicker and easier access to campus, thereby saving time and expenses.

Metro estimates over 400,000 daily trips through the Sepulveda Pass, which they calculate as causing an average of 56 hours of delay yearly per commuter. Currently only 2% use transit to commute through this corridor. In the years ahead, traffic congestion is only expected to worsen as the region’s population and economy grow. STC will provide a rail transit alternative for commuters.

A direct rail connection between the San Fernando Valley and Westwood/UCLA will enable more competitive development to be built in the San Fernando Valley, taking advantage of the excellent travel times afforded by the new rail line
