The Construction Industry Air Quality Coalition (CIAQC) was founded in 1989 by four southern California trade associations–Associated General Contractors, Building Industry Association of Southern California, Engineering Contractors Association and the Southern California Contractors Association.

These signatory contractor organizations, through the Southern California Industry Funds, created CIAQC to help their members understand and navigate the ever-increasing web of government environmental regulation under which they operate their businesses and build our communities, our infrastructure and the environmental systems that will enhance California’s future.

CIAQC has lived up to those responsibilities and today is the premier information resource for the entire California construction industry, working with state and local agencies to make sure the regulations they propose are achievable and workable in the real world of construction.

As long as the agencies that regulate air quality issues California are in business, CIAQC stands ready to work with regulators, elected officials and other stakeholders to ensure the Golden State’s construction industry is represented in the policymaking process. Today many organizations and individual construction firms throughout the state are active in CIAQC.
