WHAT: BizFed- Metro Plan To Ease Traffic Working Group and Transportation Committee Meeting with Metro Executive Staff WHEN: Friday March 25, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. WHERE: Gateway Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90012 DIAL IN: 605-475-5900, 532767# MATERIALS: Metro's Plan to Ease Traffic
Metro plans to offer a ballot measure currently dubbed Plan to Ease Traffic (PET) that would raise the county’s sales tax rate by half a cent or extend the existing half-cent sales tax enacted by Measure R (which sunsets in 2039).  BizFed is working to ensure any measure that moves forward promotes the long-term economic success of the region.

BizFed’s PET Working Group (previously MR2 Working Group), chaired by Hilary Norton, FAST, continues to hold periodic meetings with Metro senior staff to both understand their approach to developing the measure details and also to help shape the outcome into a measure we can support and that can win.

BizFed’s Transportation and Advocacy Committees have reviewed several proposals related to Metro’s PET, that offer up several different funding scenarios and project highlights. You can access them here:
