ACTION ALERT - Come to the South Coast AQMD March 2, 2018
Indirect Source Rules are threatening economic competitiveness and penalizing growth and business retention.
Indirect Source Rules impose a cap on warehouses, new/redevelopment construction and railyards and have the potential to limit investment in California’s transportation infrastructure, kill jobs, and hurt the competitiveness of California’s freight system.
We need you, and as many people that you can bring, to attend the hearing on March 2nd at the South Coast Air Quality Management District - where the SCAQMD Board will consider the eventual adoption of Indirect Source Rules.
We need to let the AQMD know that current approaches to truck replacement are working! Industry has worked hard to decrease emissions and so far it has been done without the burdensome regulations they are proposing. Instead, we need to stay the course and continue with what we already know works.
How to take action:
- Attend the Hearing! We must visually show the AQMD Board that there is a strong constituency that opposes indirect source rules.
- Send a letter to the AQMD! You can download a sample letter by clicking here. Please email Sarah Wiltfong at sarah.wiltfong@bizfed.org who will tell you who to send it to.
