After 24 years with UCLA Health, Debbie will continue her passion and journey to improve the health system with telehealth. Debbie is a healthcare consultant and had served as Clinical Director in Pediatrics, UCLA Health. She previously served as Chief Administrative Officer, UCLA Pediatrics. Debbie spearheaded and developed a team for Pediatric telehealth programs. She created sustainable telehealth programs from initiation in 15 pediatric subspecialties with clinical revenue without subsidies, low capital costs and proven ROI. She served on the University of California committee for developing system wide sustainable telehealth programs. Debbie led efforts in the Pediatric outreach clinic expansion. Debbie implemented lean healthcare strategies in clinics and recognized by all levels from executive hospital leadership to staff for operational improvements in patient throughput. Her experience includes oversight for clinical, financial management, operations, community outreach, marketing, strategic plans, education, research, IT, and human resources. She has extensive experience in business plans, financial strategies and creating tools for revenue optimization and best practices. As a member of Los Angeles South Chamber of Commerce, she developed a healthcare committee to help educate and collaborate with members for business development, access to care and education in some of our underserved communities in the region. She had served as organizer and moderator for several telemedicine symposia for multiple sectors. She had served as Vice-Chair of the American Telemedicine Association, Business and Finance committee and received Chapter Achievement Award. Debbie received her master’s degree in health administration from California State University, Northridge, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
