Sharon is a 25 year expert working in financial services, supplier diversity and business development.  With an extensive background in finance, accounting, and economic development strategies, Sharon has gained national recognition for her work with the US Department of Commerce, Office of Comptroller of Currency, SBA, Greenlining Institute, and the City of Los Angeles for her advocacy for, development and innovation and implementation of solutions to positively impact underserved communities. She as the President and CEO of Business Resource Group, an economic development non-profit that has delivered more than $310 million in financing solutions and $180 million in contracts for small and diverse firms across California.  Sharon serves as a member of the Southern CA Edison’s Clean Energy Advisory Working Group, CIT Bank/One West Bank’s Community Advisory Board, the Board of the CA Black Chamber of Commerce, and the White House appointed Milken Institute/SBA Partnership for Lending in Underserved Markets. She also works on the SLATE-Z Promise Zone’s Economic Development Committee and California Assemblywoman Burke’s Small Business Advisory Council. She is a former Board Member of Biz Fed-Los Angeles and leads the Alliance for Business Development; a coalition of agencies and corporations seeking to advance minority and diverse business capacity to expand supplier opportunities in contracting.
