OC REGISTER: Tracy Hernandez pens op-ed calling for on-demand pay protections

Share This :

Southern California News Group published a piece by BizFed Founding CEO Tracy Hernandez about proposed regulations that threaten on-demand pay benefits used by employers to attract and retain talent. BizFed has taken a formal “oppose” position on restrictions around earned wage access that hurt both businesses and workers.

Tracy’s piece cites a 2022 study by payroll provider ADP that found 96 percent of employers who offer on-demand pay had an easier time attracting talent. She also points to another study that found 95 percent of employees with access to on-demand pay stopped or reduced use of payday loans.
