LOS ANGELES, June 16, 2026 — The Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed), the region’s premier alliance of business organizations, today announced the appointment of Stuart Waldman as president and CEO, effective July 13, 2026. A diverse, powerful coalition of coalitions, BizFed unites nearly 400 member organizations to champion policies and projects that drive economic growth, create opportunity and strengthen communities throughout Los Angeles County. Together, BizFed’s members represent more than 420,000 employers and 5 million employees.
A respected business advocate, attorney, Army veteran and public policy leader, Waldman brings more than three decades of experience building coalitions, advancing economic opportunity and navigating the complex intersection of business and government. His appointment marks the beginning of a dynamic new chapter for BizFed as the organization builds on a strong foundation and sharpens its focus on the opportunities, challenges and investments shaping the future of Los Angeles County and the region.

Waldman joins BizFed following an 18-year tenure as president of the Valley Industry & Commerce Association. Prior to leading VICA, he spent 11 years in the California State Assembly, including seven years serving as chief of staff to two Assemblymembers, among them former Assembly Speaker Bob Hertzberg. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for LA28 and the Super Bowl LXI Advisory Council and has held leadership roles on numerous other regional boards, commissions and advisory bodies focused on economic development, transportation, infrastructure, workforce and environmental policy.
