Yesterday, the LA County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously (5-0) to approve the next phase of the Valencia Vision by Fivepoint: Entrada South and the Valencia Commerce Center [valenciafuture.com].
Together, these two development projects will provide more than 1,500 new and affordable homes and nearly 4 million square feet of commercial space on the westside of the Santa Clarita Valley.
Here is a breakdown of additional benefits Entrada South and the Valencia Commerce Center will provide:
- The over 1,500 new homes will consist of: condos, townhomes, and single-family detached condos
- Nearly 200 affordable homes combined onsite & offsite
- Significant space for community retail use
- The Valencia Commerce Center will feature over 3 million square feet of industrial and commercial space
- More than 10,000 jobs is estimated to be created as a result of the economic development component
- $62 million contribution to the County’s The Old Road project
- More than 340 acres will be preserved as open space that will include recreation amenities, public trails and a 5.4-acre park
