Dear Friends, Great news! The Cadiz Valley Water Conservation, Recovery & Storage Project, after years of state and federal review, has been approved to proceed to construction with no further permits or authorization required!

The US Bureau of Land Management has finally reversed its contentious October 2015 evaluation and concluded that the Cadiz project can share an existing railroad right-of-way without further delay. Not only does this action remove an unnecessary road block that was before Cadiz, but it also helps clarify a critical policy for all stakeholders, including our railroad and infrastructure communities, who pursue the smart co-location of infrastructure in existing railroad corridors rather than impact untouched lands. BizFed has long supported the Cadiz Valley Water Conservation, Recovery & Storage Project, an innovative project that could provide a reliable supply of safe, affordable water across Los Angeles County. Reliable water supplies are critical to keeping our local economy and community vibrant.
