ACTION ALERT: Measure EE – How Much Could You Be Paying?

Share This :
The LAUSD school board agreed to place an ill-conceived taxpayer-funded bailout on the June 4 ballot.  The ballot initiative, Measure EE, a 16 cent per square foot property tax, offers no new education reforms nor classroom improvements. This bailout will cost property owners more the $6 billion to fund bloated pensions and pay raises the district promised but can’t afford.

What does 16 cents per square foot cost you?

BEWARE!!! Some companies will pay over $10 million!

LAUSD’s decision to tax homeowners, renters and businesses is in response to the promises made by the district to meet union demands that ended the strike earlier this year. Those promises were made knowing the district did not have the funds to pay for union demands. Even worse there is no oversight guaranteeing this money will be spent on our students and in the classroom. We need your help to defeat this poorly conceived, rushed effort to once again bail out a school district with a history of red ink, appalling education results, declining enrollment, runaway administrative hiring, and exploding retirement and health care debt.
