BizFed Director of Advocacy Sarah Wiltfong spoke with KTLA reporter Kimberly Cheng to explain the business community’s response to “Measure H 2.0,” which would double and extend the sales tax increased implemented by voter approval of Measure H in 2017. The report below aired on channel 5 shortly after the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to approve a measure placing the “Affordable Housing, Homelessness Solutions and Prevention Now” measure on the Nov. 5 ballot.

BizFed supported Measure H in 2017 to provide 10 years of dedicated resources to take care of unhoused Angelenos. However, Los Angeles County’s homeless population grew 43% between 2018 and 2023! We need improvement before demanding more taxpayer dollars. Business leaders support homelessness solutions that deliver humane results.
