BizFed Advocacy Director, Chris Wilson Testifies in front of the Metropolitan Water Board of Directors in support of Pure Water SoCal project

This week, in a major win for ensuring water reliability for businesses and communities across Southern California, the Metropolitan Water District Board of Directors unanimously approved to certify the Final Environmental Impact Report for Pure Water Southern California – marking a major step toward the potential development of what would be one of the world’s largest water recycling programs.

What’s Next?

By adopting the Environmental Impact Report for the project, the board signaled it intends to keep the process moving forward. The next step is for the board to approve funding to continue the design process for the project as part of its annual budget adoption in April.
