ACTION ALERT - New Private Developer Arts Fee ordinance needs comments from BizFed leaders tomorrow that adding more taxes and fees will impact businesses!
Join us tomorrow to provide valuable input to Grace Ramirez-Gaston, LA County Arts Commission and Bruce Durbin, LA County Department of Regional Planning on re-evaluating how to approach LA County's proposed Private Developer Arts Fee ordinance and it's impacts to commercial and residential development in LA County.
This discussion came off the heels of last month's LA County Planning Commission vote to continue the discussion and consider including Affordable Housing Development as part of the the County's Private Developer Arts Fee on February 13th, 2019.
This along with the inclusion of multi-family housing of five units or greater back in August is showing a problematic trend by the Planning Commission of adding more fees to the cost of housing and increasing the cost of businesses across LA County. As highlighted in our letter (CLICK HERE) for the eighth year in a row according to business leaders, taxes and fees are the number one reason that business are leaving the Los Angeles region.
